Former President Donald Trump Launches New Website

Donald Trump

Facebook has censored a video of Lara Trump interviewing her father-in-law, Donald Trump, after it warned the family that any content "in the voice of" former President Trump would be erased. Trump himself remains banned on Facebook pending a decision by the Oversight Board, the external governing body the company set up to tackle it thorniest platform policy decisions.

"I'm doing things having to do with putting our own platform out there that you'll be hearing about soon", Trump said in an interview with Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe. The email also warned that any further content "posted in the voice of Donald Trump" will also be removed and the accounts posting them will face "additional limitations".

Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, at the time cited the risk of ongoing violence for the ban of Trump. Twitter banned Trump permanently on January 8, and other internet companies have taken similar actions to "deplatform" Trump.

Hannity read an email Dan Scavino apparently received before commenting, "Now Dan Scavino, who works for President Trump - just 'cause you work for President Trump, you can't post on Facebook".

Vill said she was intimidated by the governor and essentially froze during the incident due to their height differential. He has said his behavior was meant to be playful and harmless, and he's apologized if he ever made anyone uncomfortable.

Those rules apply to any accounts or pages associated with the Trump campaign as well as any belonging to former surrogates for the campaign, two categories that Lara Trump's account falls into.

According to the description of the interview on Lara Trump's The Right View site, in the 18-minute video the ex-president discusses "social media censorship, China, Joe Biden, the FAKE NEWS, and a potential 2024 run!"

Since the ban, the former president has been shown speaking on Facebook's platforms in news coverage from outlets such as Fox News and Newsmax.
