Settlement reached in fatal Kentucky police shooting of Breonna Taylor

The settlement is expected to be announced by city officials and Taylor's family on Tuesday afternoon and includes a police reform package, sources said.

Three plainclothes officers opened Taylor's front door and "blindly" opened fire into their apartment, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed in April by Taylor's mother, Tamika Palmer.

She was killed March 13 when police entered her apartment in a drug investigation. One officer, Brett Hankinson, was sacked in late June for "wantonly and blindly" firing 10 rounds into her apartment, then-interim Louisville Police Chief Robert Schroeder wrote.

According to several sources, the payout will reportedly overshadow any police settlement in Louisville's history.

Charges in the Breonna Taylor case?

Taylor's shooting by police serving a narcotics warrant at her home has sparked months of protests in Louisville and calls nationwide for the officers to be charged in her death. Walker said he didn't hear police announce themselves and said he thought he was guarding against an intruder. Police say it struck Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly in the thigh.

Kylian Mbappe wants to play in Premier League or LaLiga in 2021
AS also claim that Mbappe believes his chances of winning the Champions League and Ballon d'Or are better at Real Madrid . In the season gone by, he has scored an incredible 30 goals and registered 19 assists in 37 games.

None of the three officers involved in the flawed raid has been charged with a crime.

A CNN review of the shooting found that police believed Taylor was home alone when she was in fact accompanied by her boyfriend, who was legally armed.

'This incident was related to the execution of a search warrant by members of our Criminal Interdiction Division and some of the officers assigned to this division do not wear body-worn video systems, ' Conrad, who has since been fired, said.

The suit alleged Taylor's life was wrongfully taken, that the officers had used excessive force and that the search was grossly negligent.

An amended complaint filed about two months later additionally claimed Taylor's death was the result of Louisville police's effort to clear out a block for gentrification, and the newly formed Place-Based Investigations unit consisted of "rogue police" who violated "all levels of policy, protocol and policing standards". He has represented Black Americans killed in controversial shootings, including Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown Jr. and Tamir Rice. Police did not find any drugs.
