Further, the report said that study design is as such, that every subject who will be a part of this trial will be two doses (four weeks apart).

The SII had submitted a revised proposal for phase 2 and 3 clinical trials on Wednesday and included additional information sought by the expert panel. The trials will be conducted at AIIMS Delhi, Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences (RMRIMS) in Patna, B J Medical College in Pune, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, Nehru Hospital in Gorakhpur, AIIMS-Jodhpur, Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam and JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research in Mysore among others.

The clinical trial is created to evaluate if an investigational vaccine can prevent symptomatic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in adults. "The immune system has two ways of finding and attacking pathogens - antibody and T cell responses". After the first phase of human trials against the coronavirus pandemic, scientists announced that the disease has already infected over 1.45 crore people across the world. Although, research must go on and the rigorous clinical trial programme must be carried on.
