The Cambridges are partaking in a low-key family vacation to mark the nearing end of summer. According to the Mirror, Prince William whisked his wife Kate Middleton and their three children- Prince George , seven, Princess Charlotte , five, and Princes Louis , two-to the Isles of Scilly for a staycation. In June 1989, he visited the islands with his brother, Prince Harry, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. The family's vacation was revealed when they were spotted by tourists while out on a bike ride on the isle of Tesco on July 30.

Prince William went on to share that though the present was a complete dud, he attempted to talk up the gift when he gave it to Kate. They warmly greeted the people he met along the road, laughed and enjoyed the good weather. I did do a double-take.

On his Twitter ban he said: "They deliberately keep me away from that..." I was trying to convince myself about it.

"She was looking at me going, 'They're binoculars, what's going on?'" William recalled. "I was like, 'But these are really awesome, look how far you can see!'"
