New documents released on Ghislaine Maxwell's dealings with Jeffrey Epstein

New documents released on Ghislaine Maxwell's dealings with Jeffrey Epstein

A manuscript featuring a detailed account of the Duke of York's alleged London sexual encounter with a woman who claims she was a victim of Jeffrey Epstein is among newly released court documents.

Giuffre's testimony during the lawsuit was the centerpiece of the released documents, with Dershowitz one of multiple names mentioned accused of being tied to Maxwell and Epstein's activities.

Ms Maxwell, 58, has pleaded not guilty to helping Mr Epstein recruit and eventually abuse three girls from 1994 to 1997, and committing perjury by denying her involvement under oath. One of his alleged "sex slaves" described the abuse in her court testimony against Maxwell in 2016.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend and longtime associate of the late accused sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, "recruited, groomed, and ultimately abuse victims" for Epstein and other numerous rich or notable men.

She is now awaiting trial in a Brooklyn federal detention facility, facing the possibility of up to 35 years in prison.

Giuffre says Epstein told her "everyone owes him favours". According to Giuffre, Epstein spoke of the favor in a joking manner in response to her question why Clinton was on Epstein's island. Giuffre also alleged she was made to perform oral sex on Maxwell while Esptein watched. Giuffre has claimed that Maxwell and Epstein subsequently trafficked her to powerful politicians and business people, including Prince Andrew. Prosecutors said she also joined in the abuse.

Epstein writes back, saying he was "ok" with that.

In a court filing on Friday, Giuffre's lawyers called Maxwell's appeal "frivolous, and a transparent attempt to further delay the release of documents to which the public has a clear and unequivocal right to access".

Ohio House Speaker faces bribery charges, is removed from position
The unanimous 90-9 vote came with nine members, including Householder, absent, local news outlets reported. Mike DeWine has the authority to call the House into session, which he has said he will do if necessary.

The indictment accuses Maxwell of luring the girls by asking them about their lives, schools and families and taking them shopping or to movies.

Lawyers for the pair, Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, wrote: '(They are) seeking documents regarding Epstein's lobbying efforts to persuade the government to give him a favorable plea arrangement, including efforts on his behalf by Prince Andrew and former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz.

Among the materials released on Thursday were January 2015 emails between Epstein and Maxwell, who were identified respectively as "jeffrey E" and either "Gmax" or "G Maxwell".

The 58-year-old is in custody in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial, which is tentatively scheduled to start in July next year.

USA district judge Loretta A Preska had ordered the papers released but two depositions given by Maxwell in the civil lawsuit in 2016 were not produced after her lawyers appealed against the ruling.

One email, sent from Epstein's email address but written in Maxwell's voice, appeared to be a draft a statement or set of talking points for Maxwell to use in defending herself. If convicted, she could face up to 35 years in prison.

"I have been the target of outright lies, innuendo, slander, defamation and salacious gossip and harassment", it says.
