'The Wonder Years' reunites with a Black family

Sources told the outlet that the new Wonder Years is being developed for the 2021-22 TV season.

Famous director Lee Daniels will produce executive and Fred Savage, the star of the original series, will direct a remake of the program's success - this time built around it a Black family, ABC announced Wednesday.

Like the original, which debuted in 1988 and ran for six seasons, this proposed new series will be a half-hour comedy.

Kevin's older siblings were played by Jason Hervey and Olivia d'Abo, with Josh Saviano as his best friend Paul, and Danica McKellar as Kevin's girlfriend Winnie Cooper.
