Walmart And Tribeca Partner On Drive-In Movie Series In Retailer’s Parking Lots

In a release posted to their website, Walmart said it will be working with Tribeca Enterprises to transform 160 of its store parking lots into contact-free drive-in movie theaters.

Throughout July, families in; Arlington, Texas., Pasadena, Calif., Nassau County, and New York City, N.Y., will be treated to Tribeca Drive-In screenings of modern classics and family favorites, like Wonder Woman and Space Jam, with a mix of ticketed and free events honoring frontline workers.

Drive-ins have been making a comeback as a safer alternative to the traditional movie theaters that remain closed in much of the U.S amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Tribeca has been hosting drive-in events for almost two decades, but casting a wider net by bring the experience to Walmart marks a fun way to get people (at least somewhat) together at a time when fans could definitely use the change of pace.

The movies will be put on by the Tribeca Film Festival. And, because you're already at a Walmart, moviegoers will even be able to "order drive-in essentials for curbside pickup prior to the start of the movie".

Jada Pinkett Smith rubbishes claims of her longstanding affair with August Alsina
Fans found it interesting that his post for Pinkett Smith's birthday was longer than her own husband's in 2018. Alsina also spoke about the end of their relationship, admitting, "Walking away from it butchered me".

The retail giant and Tribeca Enterprises will feature a total of 320 film showings until October, and celebrities are also expected to make surprise appearances, the release says.

Evenings at the drive-in will include movies, celebrity and filmmaker appearances and, in true drive-in fashion, concessions - except now they'll be delivered straight to your vehicle, Walmart said. The company has not yet specified which parking lots will be turned into theaters, but additional details will be announced closer to the start of the tour.

"Summer hasn't really felt like summer yet, and I know I hear every day, 'Mom, I'm bored!'" said Janey Whiteside, chief customer officer of Walmart.

In some cases, they're offering more than movies.
