Indians in Dhaka fly back home on Vande Bharat Mission evacuation flight

Vande Bharat Mission phase 4 begins on July 3, 2020 – Business Traveller

Countries with larger diaspora faced greater challenges making flights available for everyone since tickets sold out relatively quickly.

As many as 2,50,087 Indian nationals stranded overseas have been repatriated since the beginning of Vande Bharat Mission last month, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said last week.

Therefore, on June 23, the Aviation Ministry had said that it was considering establishing "individual bilateral bubbles" with the U.S., the UK, Germany and France allowing airlines of each country in the pact to operate worldwide passenger flights.

Air India is scheduled to operate 495 chartered flights to and from various countries in the third phase, which began on June 10 and it will end on July 4.

Vande Bharat Mission, which started from May 7, is in its fourth phase.

The news was confirmed by Air India through a tweet.
