Man United To Face Chelsea In Tasty FA Cup Semi-Final Affair

Chelsea Team

Harry Maguire struck an extra-time victor as United saw off 10-man Norwich in the first quarter-final on Saturday, while Chelsea beat Leicester 1-0 on Sunday thanks to Ross Barkley's second-half strike.

Manchester United will play Chelsea with both ties to be played at Wembley over the weekend of July 18/19. The final will also take place behind closed doors at Wembley stadium.

Two London clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal, have qualified for the semifinal stage of the 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup.

City, who avoided an all-Manchester semi-final when the draw was made by BBC pundit Alan Shearer at half-time, will play Arsenal in the last four.

Substitute Daniel Ceballos fired Arsenal into the FA Cup semi-finals with a stoppage-time goal that sealed a 2-1 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday (June 28).

Barkley, one of three Chelsea replacements during half-time at the King Power Stadium, turned home the victor at the near post in the 63rd minute following Willian's cross.

Arsenal progressed to the last four thanks to a late victor against Sheffield United on Sunday, with Dani Ceballos popping up with the decisive goal after Nicolas Pepe's first-half penalty was cancelled out by a David McGoldrick goal.

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley turned in a cross from Willian midway through the second half in a 1-0 win at lacklustre Leicester City on Sunday (Monday NZ time).

Manchester City were too strong for home team Newcastle, going ahead 1-0 through a Kevin De Bruyne penalty in the 37th minute after a needless foul on Gabriel Jesus by Magpies defender Fabian Schär.

Southampton moved up one place to 13th and is a comfortable 13 points clear of the relegation zone.
