Facebook testing Dark mode for iOS

It was back in 2019 we first reported on Facebook creating a dark mode for its mobile app platform.

Facebook has started rolling out dark mode for its mobile app, according to a report from SocialMediaToday.

As per a report by SocialMediaToday, Facebook is rolling out the Dark Mode to some of its users.

The Facebook mobile app is in sort of a odd position right now.

There is no word on the official rollout date for the dark mode support on Facebook, however, it is expected to happen soon. The nation's largest carrier spent almost $1.9 million on Facebook and Instagram ads from May 22nd to June 20th. The feature has been available for desktop users since last month.

As mentioned, the Mark Zuckerberg led-social media giant already offers dark mode support that was enabled in May, along with a revamped version of its desktop interface.

Dark mode's benefits stretch beyond a visual aesthetic which might be preferable to certain users.

This followed users of the app claiming they were able to switch to the feature on devices running iOS 13.

Similar to mobile experience, the new desktop website is faster with new streamlined navigation, easy to find videos, games and Groups, while the home page and page transitions load faster. Just tap on the hamburger icon on the top right corner (below the messenger icon) and scroll down.
