Nick Cannon, Ariana Grande and other celebrities took to the streets and joined protests across the country to speak out about the death of George Floyd.

Halsey Halsey is among the celebrities protesting against George Floyd's death.

Joining protesters against white supremacy and police brutality was Grande who posted to Twitter pictures of herself in the streets of Los Angeles, California. She has also taken to sharing resources for protesters and supporters on her Instagram account. The officer, who placed his knee on Floyd's neck, has been fired and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Singer- songwriter Kehlani likewise participated in the Black Lives Matter demonstration in Los Angeles, and also praised her other militants.

"Sending strength and if you are protesting today, please be safe".

In the horrifying video footage of Floyd's death, he is seen saying that he cannot breathe as the officer - identified as Derek Chauvin - kneeled on his neck. Cannon also held a sign with a Floyd's face that read "Justice for Floyd".

Shawn Mendes was dressed in all black as he held a "Black Lives Matter" sign above his head. "Stay active, stay energized, keep sharing, keep learning", she wrote in her caption of yesterday's post. She wrote her Instagram and Twitter that "when I was younger, I used language that I'm deeply ashamed of and will regret forever". Camila Cabello and boyfriend Shawn Mendes were also pictured by fans marching through Miami. On his Instagram, Mendes released a statement urging his followers to donate to organizations that fight systemic racism and police brutality. On Saturday, Camila Cabello wrote: "I've been trying to find the right words to say after I saw the video where George Floyd's life is being taken from him with impunity..." We need to start to really listen to [and] help amplify black voices.
