Tinder Date Stabbed To Death By Utah Man

Ethan Hunsaker

A Utah man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly confessed to murdering a woman he met earlier that evening on the dating app Tinder. The woman, whose identity didn't release yet, died at the scene because of her multiple injuries.

The family of Ashlyn Black issued the comments Monday night in a statement, a day after police say she was choked and stabbed to death inside the suspect's home in Layton, Utah.

Hunsaker told police that he picked up the woman from her home, went to a bar together, and brought her to his apartment thereafter, Fox 13 reported, citing a probable cause statement.

According to a press release, Layton Police Dispatch received a call just after 3:00 AM on Sunday from 24-year-old Ethan Hunsaker, who reported he had killed someone in his residence.

During the call, Hunsaker told a dispatcher to tell officers to shoot him, according to an affidavit by an officer explaining his arrest. Police said that was steady with marks seen on Hunsaker's arms, neck, and shoulders. He reportedly admitted that there hadn't been an argument before the attack and he suddenly began choking her so as to kill her. Hunsaker said he grabbed a knife in the middle of the scuffle and stabbed her several times. After ten minutes, he called police.

Will Henry Cavill Return as Superman?
When he joined the cast of Netflix's fantasy series The Witcher in 2019, fans were anxious he would never wear the red cape again. Many actors have played Superman in the past two decades, but there's no question that Cavill is a DC fan favorite.

After they arrived, he also asked officers to shoot him, the document says.

Police arrested Hunsaker on suspicion of first degree murder.

Court documents didn't indicate whether he had a lawyer.

However, after he was taken into custody, Hunsaker told officers that he was diagnosed with mental health illnesses and struggled with daily thought of homicidal actions and suicide.
