Sydney Lockdown Restrictions Lifting on June 1

NSW will ease coronavirus restrictions from June 1 allowing up to 50 patrons in pubs restaurants and cafe

Ms Berejiklian has slammed Ms Palaszczuk's intention to keep Queensland's borders closed until at least September as "not logical".

"All customers must be seated and no bookings of more than 10 allowed, in addition to many other conditions which must be met".

'You have to be seated on the desk, you will have to be served on the desk, ' Ms Berejiklian mentioned.

The four-square metre rule will also mean no close contact or cuddling for couples and dates in restaurants.

"Nobody will be able to take bookings of more than 10 people".

Deputy premier John Barilaro said June is a time to help the hospitality industry "fill their registers".

"We've opened up the regions and now it's our happy hour, time to wine and dine", said Mr Barilaro.

'We need to see folks visiting the areas visiting motels, pubs, golf equipment, eating places and cafes.

The Premier mentioned she made the transfer to get Australians again into work after 210,000 misplaced their jobs in the state in April.

While the Premier didn't mention small bars, distilleries and breweries in the announcement today, they are also now allowed to open as long as liquor is served "with, or ancillary to, food in an area for eating" per the NSW Government legislation.

City Hall said bars and restaurants can be hit with fines as high as $1,000 depending on the violation. Cuomo is being lauded as a national hero for his "fight" against COVID-19.

'A morale boost and the additional economic stimulus provided by pubs and clubs is what our communities need and I look forward to enjoying a beer in the bush with locals very soon'.

The new relaxed laws will require establishments to adhere to strict social distancing guidelines implementing a four-square-metre per patron rule.

Treasurer Dominic Perrottet has praised NSW for leading the charge in reopening the nations economy - emphasising that the move would save thousands of jobs, .

The initial decision to allow venues operate with a 10 patron limit was one which received mixed reactions.

"NSW is opening back up for business, and as we ease restrictions everybody needs to follow the health and safety guidelines, to ensure we make it a success and can continue".

'This has been actually thought-about and thought out to make certain we've got one of the best regulatory settings in place, ' Mr Dominello mentioned.

"We are allowing those businesses that have been trading with 10 outdoors now to have 10 indoors also with alcohol".

The measures also allow pubs to open immediately, but still rule out front bar service with patrons having to be seated.

The Northern Territory opened pubs on 15 May with no numbers cap.
