Kuo: 5G iPhone delayed until October; iPhone SE Plus pushed back too

Apple too seems to have been taken by surprise with the sort of response the entry-level iPhone model has garnered so far. One revelation being that the iPhone SE has a faster processor than the most expensive Android Phone.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is seeing problems in the supply chain for certifying the 5G technology in the "iPhone 12" and believes that the mmWave versions will be pushed back because of some antenna design changes. In a research note released Tuesday and seen by Cult of Mac, Kuo says Apple experienced a one-month delay in starting the all-important Engineering Verification Test for all the upcoming autumn iPhone models. Kuo also said that mass production of the 6.7-inch iPhone could be delayed until the month of October.

At that time, the analyst predicted that the larger iPhone SE would come out in the first half of 2021.

Kuo has not provided details on the pricing of the iPhone SE Plus, but it will presumably have a price tag lower than that of Apple's flagship devices.

US-based worldwide investment bank Goldman Sachs stated in a report released last week that the iPhone 12 may not be released until the beginning of November, as travel restrictions can hinder Apple's engineering and manufacturing process. This will allegedly have a 5.5-inch or 6.1-inch screen, with no Home button.

Coronavirus: 11 more Covid-19 deaths, Galway cases rise again
Of these, 27 occurred in hospital, 32 in care homes, one in a hospice and one at a residential address. Nisra figures record all deaths where Covid-19 is mentioned on a death certificate.

The iPhone SE went on to be a nice little success story for Apple. But the iPhone SE did not return in 2017 or 2018, leading to rumors that the company had moved on from the series.

The iPhone SE series is quite different from the usual iPhone models since it lacks some of the big features but delivers a really good price.

CIRP's new data covers the first quarter of 2020 (January-March) and it says that in the states, the iPhone 11 family accounted for 66% of total iPhone sales in the US during that time period.

Josh Lowitz, CIRP Partner and Co-Founder noted "iPhone 11 is the dominant model in the lineup".

Now, as disclosed in the report, the writer of this report owns Apple shares, so you know. bias. Are you planning to purchase the new iPhone SE?
