‘Avatar’ Sequels Set to Resume Production in New Zealand

The sea vessels look massive and intimidating, and will likely be the ships used by the humans to traverse the mostly water-covered world that Avatar 2 will be exploring.

Avatar producer Jon Landau says he and his team are returning to New Zealand as production resumes on the long-awaited sequels to the 2009 blockbuster.

After the local film industry was halted, New Zealand's health and safety production protocols have now been endorsed by the Government so filming can resume.

Landau also pointed out some of the special bits of kit that fans can expect to see in the film when it comes out. "Check out the Matador, a high speed forward command vessel (bottom) and the Picador jetboat (top) - can't wait to share more".

Sequel What to expect from "Avatar 2"? This is a huge plus for any Hollywood productions, such as Avatar 2, shooting over there as US productions have largely been shut down around the world for some time.
