Netflix will cancel the subscription of accounts that are long dormant

Didn't use Netflix in last one year? Your membership may get cancelled

Netflix is cancelling subscription of inactive users. Users, who do not confirm they want to continue with Netflix, the company will automatically cancel their subscription.

It's a two-fold situation where not only do they look good to customers by letting them know they are conscious of the costs they're asking for, they also could garner more frequent visits from returning subscribers.

Not many companies give up free revenue, but with its latest move, Netflix is fixing to do just that.

Madagascar President, WHO DG hold virtual meeting
Madagascar enhances the African pharmacopoeia by imposing the virtue of our medicinal plants and the work of African researchers. The WHO has warned him, pushing him to avoid that remedy on people without having it tested properly.

"These inactive accounts represent less than half of one per cent of our overall member base, only a few hundred thousand, and are already factored into our financial guidance", it added. So, as always, anyone who cancels their account and then rejoins within 10 months will still have their favorites, profiles, viewing preferences and account details just as they left them. The streaming service giant has seen a significant increase in subscribers since the coronavirus pandemic started, as families expectedly turned to online entertainment, with a reported 47% increase in new sign-ups, while competing streaming services (except for Apple TV+) have gotten even better results.

Netflix has announced a pretty nice gesture for those who are subscribed, but haven't been watching anything on it.

"In the meantime, we hope this new approach saves people some hard earned cash", Eddy Wu, director of Product Innovation at Netflix, said in a statement.
