Buriram Prison security personnel looking over a group of inmates on the ground after a jail riot in Buriram, Thailand March 29, 2020. However, at the moment, we can not reveal to the public which inmate has been evacuated to which prison. Around 100 inmates staged the riot and set the place ablaze as they tensed up with the possibility of Covid-19 infection happening inside the prison.

Fars province Governor Enayatollah Rahimi said the protest broke out in the early hours of Sunday at Adel Abad prison in the southwestern city of Shiraz, according to Iran's official IRNA news agency.

Restrictions on movement have been imposed in several Thai provinces as the total number of coronavirus cases reached 1,388, with 143 new cases reported on Sunday. At least 11 prisoners escaped, 7 were recaptured, and the remaining prisoners were transferred to other locations. The smoke also reportedly harmed prison wards and damaged the facilities.
