The program will be tasked with supporting at-risk people and groups by using resources already within the Saskatchewan health care system.

"(Monday's) sad news is a sobering reminder for us all that COVID-19 is a risky and a deadly disease", Moe said.

Out of the total of 184, nearly half of the reported cases in Saskatchewan are in Saskatoon - 90 cases as of March 31.

As of today, March 30, the province has 20 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 176.

"What we're seeing is certainly very sad, but it's not unexpected, because now it's been three weeks or more since we've started reporting cases in Saskatchewan", Shahab said.

Ministry of Justice makes big disclosure, prisoners breaks jail
At least 11 prisoners escaped, 7 were recaptured, and the remaining prisoners were transferred to other locations. The facilities were crowded and if the virus were to enter the prison system it would devastating, he said.

In the north, which contains the former Kelsey Trail Health Region, there are 33 cases.

One of those inpatient cases is in the Northern section of the province, which includes Prince Albert. The largest number of cases, 84, are located in Saskatoon, followed by the north, 37, and Regina, 36. Twenty of those cases have now been linked to a snowmobile rally supper in Christopher Lake. Four are in acute care and one in the intensive care unit. One of the cases was travel-related and the other resulted from community transmission.

Of the 156 cases, 69 are between the ages of 20 and 44, 59 are aged 45 to 64, 23 are aged 65 or over, and five are aged 19 and under. One of the ICU cases is in Regina, while the other is in central Saskatchewan.

Fifty five per cent of cases are males and 45 per cent are females. We also need to ramp up testing and trace contacts of people who have COVID-19 in order to identify and isolate cases and reduce the spread of the virus. To the rest of the province, I know that we are all anxious about the impact of COVID-19 on our lives and our families.
