LA Rams reveal new logo ahead of 2020 season

BREAKING: Los Angeles Rams Release Official New Logo & Color Scheme For Team (VIDEO + PIC)

The Los Angeles Rams on Monday revealed new team colors and logos that will debut this season.

"From ownership down, our first thought in this time of need has been how we could bring together our fans and our region to help our fellow Angelenos who are hurting the most from the economic and health fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic", Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff wrote in a letter to season ticket owners.

If you dig through the team's "new look" website you'll find all sorts of tidbits about the history of the logo, the vibrant new colors ("Rams Royal" and "Sol") and how it'll look at the upcoming stadium.

So what's next? The Rams are set to unveil their new uniforms at some point this offseason, and it appears those could help turn public opinion a bit.

CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, Eagles reach 1-year deal
Robey-Coleman will compete in a crowded slot position that includes Avonte Maddox , Cre'Von LeBlanc and Tremon Smith. Robey-Coleman continues the Eagles' offseason theme of adding versatile defensive backs.

"We always looked at blue and yellow and white, we looked at a wide range of things around that as accent colors", Demoff said. The team's primary colors were royal blue and gold for most of their first stint in LA (1946-1994). "It was a bad first introduction to where we're headed".

"That was one place we knew our fans weren't going to compromise", Demoff said.

The Rams have worn blue-and-gold throwback uniforms and versions of their blue-and-white vintage uniforms frequently during their second tenure in Los Angeles, when their style has been a mishmash of past and present looks. Some players, like the quarterback, Jared Goff, was presumed the new caps for the lakers, who only in 2019 lost the Super Bowl XXV against the New England Patriots, then still Tom Brady. Gurley agreed to a contract with the Falcons the day after he was cut.
