The 15th U.S. case of coronavirus is an evacuee in Texas

Passengers are being housed on four military bases-Travis Air Force Base, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Lackland and Eppley Airfield-and are under a mandatory 14-day quarantine according to CDC guidelines.

This is the first person under quarantine at JBSA-Lackland who had symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19. It hasn't said how numerous kits are flawed, however.

Since American airports began screening for the virus, the CDC says 30,000 passengers from China have been screened and they're seeing increasingly fewer passengers.

"I don't think we should be planning for the onesie-twosie cases that we've been seeing thus far in the United States", Asha George, executive director of the Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense, told lawmakers on Capitol Hill. Previously, states with suspected cases of the virus would send respiratory secretions, namely nasal or oral swabs, to the agency's headquarters in Atlanta for testing, forcing state officials to await the results before confirming a case.

The world champion Toronto Raptors had the highest year over year increase in value of 25%, now valued at $2.1B. Having the Knicks top that list was certainly unexpected, given their ongoing turmoil on and off the court.

So far, the CDC hasn't been invited to be part of an global joint mission to China, she said, though it stands ready to participate if asked. Currently, a three-member advance team from the WHO is in Beijing to meet with Chinese health officials and flesh out details of the joint mission.

She added that the CDC, in its outbreak planning, isn't counting on a drop in virus activity as the weather warms. "Janssen is a proven partner with a flexible, rapid, vaccine platform which gives us an edge in the race to protect people in the USA and worldwide from the health security threat posed by this novel coronavirus". "The problem was because of differences between San Diego labeling and what the CDC lab accepts, the sample from the woman didn't even reach testing stage so it was true that all samples that were tested were negative, and it was also true that the woman had COVID-19 [coronavirus] because her sample was not tested".

The laboratory service provider said it had immediately engaged with the CDC on its test being available to commercial labs and is preparing to support the global response, if necessary. The person is yet another evacuee, also arriving last Thursday in California, but they were on a separate flight from the one that the thirteenth patient had taken. Because their tests were ruled negative they were permitted to return to the base.
