CDC confirms 15th coronavirus case in U.S.

Lackland Air Force Base- TRIPADVISOR

All people who lived or traveled in Hubei Province, China, are considered at high risk of having been exposed to the virus and are subject to a temporary 14-day quarantine upon entry into the United States.

U.S. officials reported the 15th case of coronavirus in the United States on Thursday, saying the patient was among those who had been evacuated from Wuhan, China, and placed under federal quarantine at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The three patients who remain under the university's care are said to be doing well; others have been returned to quarantine. The two arrived at Miramar on different planes and were housed in separate facilities on base.

Person to person spread most often occurs when coming into close contact - around six feet - with someone infected.

According to UC San Diego Health officials, both confirmed patients are in isolation at the hospital, with a third patient under observation because of coronavirus-like symptoms. However, it did run through a second test and within 24 hours of the "mishap" the patient was found to be infected with the coronavirus.

CDC blames label mix-up after mistakenly releasing coronavirus patient
Officials have been warning that a negative test for the virus does not necessarily mean someone will not get it, the Post said. Officials say she was isolated at the base for testing and sent back to a hospital after results came back.

The CDC believes: "The symptoms of 2019-nCoV may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 after exposure".

Worldwide, there have been more than 60,000 reported cases of the disease, which has killed more than 1,300 people, mostly in China.

Covid-19 continues its relentless spread throughout China.

All states received testing kits - which can test between 700 and 800 patient samples, officials have previously said - but it's not now clear which states have reported faulty kits.

A 15th case of the brand new, fatal coronavirus used to be showed in Texas amongst evacuees who fled the Chinese epicenter of the outbreak and had been dwelling underneath quarantine, federal officers introduced Thursday.
