A Wild Microsoft Surface Duo Appears

Microsoft Surface Duo spotted publicly; could launch sooner than expected

It's also worth noting that the spotted Surface Duo also seems to be a little bit thinner than its promotional model.

At one point, the person using the dual-screen device appears to struggle to get the interface to work in the required manner, but there are doubtless still plenty of UI issues to be ironed out at this point. When the clamshell is closed, however, it's just two aluminum covers broken by nothing other than the Windows logo.

As Surface Duo is still in development, we can't really expect the software to be already 100% polished.

Microsoft calls its Surface Duo "the flawless balance of productivity and mobility". However, now it seems that few of the devices could go official sooner than expected.

Microsoft's first Android device, the Surface Duo, is one step closer to becoming reality after a suspected prototype of the smartphone was spotted on the Vancouver SkyTrain last week.

Ghanaians join viral #BroomChallenge; here's what you need to know about it
First of all, you can stand up a broom on its own (depending on the broom) any time of year. There was nothing special about February 10 that caused people's brooms to do this.

Although the company says the Surface Duo has the ability to make phone calls, it stopped short of calling the device a "smartphone" in its announcement. The user then folds the device, like a book, with the screens facing outwards to play a mobile game as well as send some emails. That's because it has dual 5.6-inch displays connected by a hinge. According to The Verge, some developers have access to the snazzy foldables to test and create apps, which is a good explanation for why we're seeing the Surface Duo out in the wild.

Something else the video makes clear is that Microsoft still has plenty of work to do on the Surface Duo. However, there is a border between each display making the experience less seamless than the foldables.

This new Surface Duo runs Android and is scheduled for release around Christmas 2020.

The Galaxy Z Flip will join Samsung's £1,800 Galaxy Fold smartphone, which was released a year ago, as well as Motorola's Razr and Huawei's Mate X. Surface Duo will be Microsoft's first Android device, and even though Google has brought support for foldable phones on Android 10, Microsoft is trying something different with a dual-screen device.
