Passenger says American Airlines employee stalked, harassed her

American Airlines 737-800 aircraft

"The employee involved in the complaint is no longer employed at American Airlines". The customer has shared that she received unexpected text messages from the employee, with some of them stating that he was watching her.

Ashley Barno filed the suit in San Diego Superior Court on January 6 against American Airlines and the employee, referred to as "John Doe", saying she doesn't know his name. The woman identified herself as Ashley Barno.

"I think its a NO then", he wrote when she didn't reply, attaching an animated picture of a man holding a flower, with script reading "Forgive Me?" below.

The worker, who was not on responsibility for American on the time, had first messaged Ashley asking her how she was, the lawsuit claims.

Barno now assumes he was sitting next to or near her and copied that information or took a photo of her baggage tag, which did not have a flap that covered her personal information. She didn't even know if he was sacked or reprimanded. Barno's attorneys do not know the airline employee's legal name.

Things obtained worthy more unnerving after Barno boarded the airplane and obtained this message from "Ahmad": "I am on board now. Are you going to Chicago too??"

In a lawsuit filed last week in San Diego County Superior Court, Barno alleges she complained to American Airlines about the employee and says she learned it wasn't the first time he had engaged in inappropriate behavior.

"You want to sit next to me?" said another text, promising that he could get her a better seat. "I must tell you that you are gorgeous... you are looking very gorgeous in that gray top today".

"Will you join me?" he wrote.

Mets agree to part ways with manager Carlos Beltran
The Mets organization and I mutually agreed to part ways, moving forward for the greater good with no further distractions. The former big leaguer played in the majors for 20 years before retiring following the Astros' World Series win in 2017.

The American employee was elusive with his messages. Barno said the situation made her feel "naked in a public place".

"Just knowing that he knew what I looked like, and that we were in an enclosed plane and that there's no way out, like really, really scared me", she told NBC 7. In the lawsuit, she alleges he continued to text her even after she told him to leave her alone. "I'm now now not sure who this is". "I can always give you good seats, access to the lounges, and free drinks", he replied.

After hearing the story, the flight attendant confirmed that Ahmad was an American Airlines employee. Photo: Getty Images. How did this happen? Furthermore, there have been reports that this is not the only time that "Ahmad" has harassed a passenger. "How'd you get my info?'" Barno recalled. It refused her requests for more information on how Ahmad was disciplined, as well as whether he had information on other passengers. "Ahmad", meanwhile, remained determined to communicate with her. It is being sued for negligent hiring and sexual harassment, among other allegations.

Barno told a flight attendant about the harassment, and they had the man escorted off the plane when it landed in Chicago. Now she's taking legal action against the firm for irresponsible hiring, guidance, and also retention.

Barno affirmed that she felt frustrated and neglected by the airline when they failed to respond to her concerns about customer privacy after the incident.

"A victim can be shaken up and traumatized for months after an event", Samo also said in a statement. It would not be surprising if the airline reached a settlement with Barno just to make this case and all the bad publicity go away. "We investigated the allegations and took acceptable action".
