Trump calls Trudeau ‘two faced,’ ‘very nice guy’ after candid video surfaces

More personality conflicts were evident on Day 2 of the summit, as video footage showed Macron, Johnson, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Princess Anne - seemingly gossiping about Trump - during Tuesday night's North Atlantic Treaty Organisation reception at Buckingham Palace.

On Tuesday, Mr. Trump who has carried on a years-long campaign to get NATO's other members to pay more for their own defence, said during a bilateral meeting with Mr. Trudeau that Canada was "slightly delinquent" for not meeting the alliance's military spending target of 2 per cent of gross domestic product.

During a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday, Trump was asked about Trudeau's comments, to which the USA president responded: "He's two-faced".

"He's two-faced", Trump said, adding, "honestly with Trudeau, he's a nice guy".

Microphones picked up only fragments of what was said but caught Trudeau saying that "he"-an apparent reference to Trump-was late because he takes a "40-minute press conference off the top every time".

A misery-loves-company moment involving Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron and the U.K.'s Boris Johnson, among others, has gone viral since it was captured on video during a reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night.

The brief video posted on Twitter by Canada's public broadcaster, CBC, showed Mr Trudeau chatting with a group of leaders, including Mr Johnson, Mr Macron, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and Queen Elizabeth's daughter Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace. He then says, laughing, that he "just watched his team's jaws drop to the floor" when the president said something at the press conference.

The Howard Stern Show. "And excuse me, but these are kids, they can't be judging other kids no matter how successful they are". Old judges Howard Stern and Sharon Osbourne hold additionally spread out about their time on the objective to.

TRUMP: "Well, he's two-faced ... he's not paying 2 percent and he should be paying 2 percent. We saw this just yesterday at the NATO Summit", said Scheer.

But NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Wednesday that "we stand together, all for one and one for all".

Johnson asks Macron: "Is that why you were late?"

Trump said Tuesday that he was not focused on impeachment while overseas but also spent portions of his busy day telling members of the press that the inquiry was a "hoax" and sharing several tweets about impeachment.

While Western leaders were alarmed that Turkish opposition could derail efforts to deter Russian Federation in eastern Europe, they said there was no chance of siding with Turkey against the forces who spearheaded the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil). "It's Canada, they have money". "So I called him out on that and I'm sure he's wasn't happy about that, but that's the way it is".

In recent weeks Macron has tried to shake up the agenda by demanding a review of alliance strategy, but Trump - who arrived boasting that he had forced members to boost defence spending - hit back hard.

Trump took questions from the press earlier on Tuesday in which he discussed the impeachment inquiry and remarks he made earlier regarding France taking back ISIS fighters in prison.
