Load management is spoiling a potential NBA Finals preview

Paul George Clippers

"The NBA has fined the Clippers $50,000 for statements, including by head coach Doc Rivers, that were inconsistent with Leonard's helath status".

On Wednesday, the league said it accepted the Clippers plan to sit Leonard, who was listed on the injury report with an ailing knee, in the first of back-to-back games.

Less than 24 hours after Kawhi Leonard was absent from the Los Angeles Clippers loss to the Milwaukee Bucks due to "load management", the league has handed down a $50,000 fine to the franchise. Leonard is expected to play in that game.

Former Attorney General Sessions enters U.S. Senate race in Alabama
Candidates already contending for the nomination include former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville and Rep. Have I said a cross word about our president? Sessions was senator until becoming Trump's first attorney general in 2017.

However, hours later during his pregame remarks, Rivers said there was "no concern" about the forward's health, a comment that appeared to undercut the league's stance about the severity of Leonard's injury.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from October 28-Nov. 3.

"I think Kawhi made the statement he's never felt better", Rivers added. Leonard returned to play October 31, in a victory against San Antonio, just as he is expected to play Thursday against Portland. Last season's roster thrived by dominating bench minutes, but that hasn't been the case so far this year. He's also the first player in National Basketball Association history to tally at least 150 points, 80 rebounds and 40 assists in the first six games of a season. "We want him to just keep feeling better and getting better".
