Google finally drops support for the Pixel and Pixel XL

Google Pixel 4’s Recorder App is Coming to the Pixel Devices

The US-based search engine giant, last month, launched Pixel 4 at a starting price tag of $799 and Pixel 4 XL for $899.

Alongside the Pixel 4 duo, Google has also rolled out software updates for older Pixel smartphones as well, all the way back to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, adding new features and also upgrading them to the November security patch. And if you don't want to be at the mercy of Google's new refresh level algorithm, you can look at out our guide on how to power the screen to adhere to 90Hz below. You probably shouldn't, though. A Google spokesperson later confirmed the news but failed to discuss any additional information about release dates or that particular Pixel devices are compatible. And as per the official update support page, the minimum update and support period for the Pixel and Pixel XL will be October 2019, which means these two phones have reached the end of official security support from Google and won't likely receive the November security patch. Users on Reddit and Twitter are reporting evidence that the 90Hz display refresh rate is working now under conditions it wouldn't work under prior to the update.

Switch Lite Success Means More 3DS Games On Switch
It makes sense given the Switch is now the dominant Nintendo brand, with any new 3DS hardware unlikely. This was first pointed out by GameSpot and there hasn't been release date planned in the West.

There could potentially be some bad news, unfortunately.

In terms of specifications, Pixel 4 features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ Smooth 90Hz display. He's found some evidence to suggest that the change could be a bit more drastic than just a fix of the brightness problem. Users are urged to install the Android Security Patch for November 2019 update on their devices as soon as possible.
