Shea said investigators collected "cards" and "dice" from the scene. The four men who died ranged in age from 32 to 49, NBC New York reported.

Four people have been killed and multiple are injured after a shooting inside an illegal gambling location in NY on Saturday.

While four gunshot victims were dead on arrival, the three additional people who were shot suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

According to police, four men were pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The shooting took place outside of an after-hours club called Triple A Aces, which serves as a "private and social rental space", the New York Post reported.

It happened around 7 a.m. on Utica Avenue near Pacific Street. Police said the information is preliminary, and didn't provide further details.

Authorities said the motive for the shooting was not immediately clear. NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot F. Shea said at a briefing Saturday that two firearms have been recovered and more may be found.

Chief of Patrol Rodney K. Harrison said there were never any complaints of a gambling operation at the location, which was only a few blocks away from the 77th precinct.

While no arrests have been made, Shea said several people were being questioned over the shooting.
