The ballots will look like "LAST NAME, First name" and will require you to mark an "X" on the blank circle next to your chosen candidate.

"If you are from B.C. for example, you can come into the office and get what's called a national ballot, as long as you cast that by Tuesday next week".

Dugald Maudsley, regional media adviser with Elections Canada, said the agency is looking to hire poll workers for election day in 14 electoral districts in the Toronto area. No word yet about their popularity, but they're created to make voting "easier and more accessible" for students, university employees and the general population, according to Elections Canada spokesperson Pierre Pilon.
