No More iTunes On macOS: Apple discontinues music-subscription service

Apple is reportedly considering bundling Apple TV+ and Apple Music

Apple Music now costs $10 per month.

Now that Apple is starting to offer a growing number of subscription-based services like Apple Music (and soon Apple TV+) for which users pay a monthly fee, you had to know this was coming.

Unfortunately, this very intriguing plan is not fleshed out yet, mainly because at least one big music label is reportedly "wary" of the idea, fearing its revenues would decline as a direct outcome of the rumored Apple Music/Apple TV+ combo. According to the FT report, talks are at an early stage between Apple and the labels and a pricing formula has yet to be discussed.

The report also revealed that while some record labels are open to the idea of offering Apple Music and Apple TV+ content together at a lower price, some are nervous about it.

MA experiences first vaping-related death
More information is needed to know whether a single product, substance, or brand is responsible for the lung injuries. The death in MA brings the national total to 19 reported in 16 states.

Toni Sacconaghi, an analyst at Bernstein, said it was a "genius" move for Apple to give away 12 months of Apple TV+ for free to new buyers of iPhones, iPads and Macs. Apple also offers Apple News Plus for $10 per month, and Apple Arcade, a subscription video game service, for $5 per month.

Now, Apple isn't required to pressure these record labels to lower the price of each song for the rumored super bundle.

Unlike Netflix, Apple owns all of the rights to everything that will be shown on Apple TV+ when it launches next month, and therefore doesn't need to negotiate with anybody for video content - something that makes us wonder if this was another factor behind Apple's choice to rely exclusively on its own original content for its new movie and television streaming service. Should Apple decide to create tier bundles, the prices will vary depending on the services included. The usual unnamed people familiar with the matter claim Apple is exploring the possibility of offering some kind of a discounted bundle of music and video streaming services in the near future.

In the early days, iTunes was simply a great way to get music onto Apple's marquee product, the iPod music player.
