Trump slams Jeff Bezos over affair, calls him Jeff 'Bozo'

The Jeff Bezos divorce $136 billion and Amazon in the middle

Writing on his Twitter, Trump referred to Bezos as "Jeff Bozo", mocking him by saying he was sorry to hear that a more credible newspaper (National Enquirer) exposed the billionaire.

In the tweet, Trump appeared to praise the National Enquirer, the gossip tabloid that published details of Bezos' relationship with the former TV news anchor Lauren Sanchez.

In a now-trending tweet, Trump sarcastically referred to the richest man alive as "Jeff Bozo", seemingly alluding to a fictional clown character, which was popular in the USA in 1960s. "Hopefully the paper will soon be placed in better & more responsible hands!"

Shortly before the story ran, Bezos announced that he is separating from his wife.

Trump has often derided the Washington Post's reporting and has called it the "Amazon Washington Post" in reference to Bezos owning the newspaper, though Amazon does not have any ownership of it.

PG&E CEO Steps Down Amid Reports of Bankruptcy Preparations
PG&E Corp. stated that it aimed to file to reorganize under chapter 11 on or around January 29. The cause of the Camp Fire is still under investigation, according to state fire officials.

In December, the National Enquirer's parent company admitted to paying a woman who alleged an affair with Trump.

This is not the first time that Trump has commented on Bezos's impending divorce: last week, POTUS wished him "luck".

Trump has also always been critical towards Bezos, who bought the Washington Post - a publication the President has attacked for its agenda against his administration - in 2013.

Towns, cities and states throughout the US are being hurt - many jobs being lost!" posted President Trump in August 2017, adding in December, "Why is the United States Post Office, which is losing many billions of dollars a year, while charging Amazon and others so little to deliver their packages, making Amazon richer and the Post Office dumber and poorer?

The president also has a history of animosity toward Amazon, which Bezos runs as CEO.
