First Trailer Lands For Terry Gilliam's 'The Man Who Killed Don Quixote'

First Trailer for Terry Gilliam’s Long Delayed THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE

Gilliam, known for helming The Fisher King, Brazil, Time Bandits, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and 12 Monkeys, first went into production on The Man Who Killed Don Quixote almost two decades ago. His attempts to make the film with Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis in 1998 were thwarted, forcing Gilliam to abandon the project.

Though Gilliam had continued to press forward with production of Don Quixote in the years since, it was assumed by many to be a quixotic quest. Its troubled making supplied the material for a 2002 documentary, "Lost in La Mancha".

It's nearly here. for us Gilliam fans this is something akin to the Holy Grail; a lost, presumed missing and never to be seen film from one of cinema's true visionaries.

Another trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Lifetime movie is out
Whilst looking at some baby items, she said: "I am sure at one point we will need the whole thing". Together, they have visited Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff and Belfast in the past few months.

After several more starts and stops, the movie went into production again a year ago with Jonathan Pryce starring as a modern-day man who claims to be Don Quixote and Adam Driver as his would-be Sancho Panza, a cynical TV commercials director. Rumored for a Cannes premiere, we'll find out next week if that's the case.

We'll believe it's officially real when we're sitting in the theater taking it in, but the best proof yet that Terry Gilliam has actually finished his oft-cursed project The Man Who Killed Don Quixote has arrived. It's another bump in the long road for this most troubled of productions, though given the director has waited almost two decades to see his magnum opus on screen, he can stand to hold on for a few more months.
