Cowboys' Jerry Jones: Jason Garrett Will be NFL Coach in 2020

Garrett has Cowboys practicing outside to prep for Chicago cold

Although the Dallas Cowboys now hold a 6-6 record, owner and general manager Jerry Jones believes the team can lead the table and win the Super Bowl. Jerry was a bit more vague.

The longtime team owner has said he won't make a coaching change before the end of the 2019 season, but he's also vented about the Cowboys' poor coaching during the team's two-game slide. Is there more context? Yes.

Jones spat out platitudes about his faith in Garrett and his ability and experience, all of the things that Cowboys fans have come to expect from the man who has more belief in his 2011 hire than anyone else on the planet.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has suggested his franchise's coach will have a job in the National Football League next season. The team is 0-5 against teams with a winning record.

Dallas reached its lowest point of the season on Thanksgiving, when nearly every unit struggled in a double-digit loss to Buffalo. The question is whether or not Garrett will be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in 2020.

Ukrainian president slams Trump decision to delay military aid
He presses Ukraine for investigations into Democrats as USA aid to Ukraine is withheld. If you're our strategic partner, then you can't go blocking anything for us.

Journalists now know better than waiting for a simple answer from Garrett. "Those three guys did a nice job for us, but Brett is going to be our kicker going forward", Garrett said. The message across the Cowboys locker room was similar this week, quarterback Dak Prescott saying Monday he knows Garrett's message is getting through because "I talk to each and every one of these individuals and the head coach's message is the way we're approaching each and every day", Prescott said.

In a radio interview Tuesday on 105.3-FM The Fan, Jones not only doubled down on his support of coach Jason Garrett but he dropped the mic before hanging up. Who's got the exclusive skills to get the job done so that collectively you can win a Super Bowl? Tuesday, Jones said he doesn't view Garrett's case for a next contract as dependent on ending the Cowboys' 23-year conference championship game drought or another specific postseason accomplishment.

At 6-6, the Cowboys cling to a one-game lead in the NFC East over rival Philadelphia with four games to play.

"There is no bar", Jones said. "When I say that, I don't mean that there's not a level of a point where I determined it's just not working or determined that it's working".
