It's official: the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won't be celebrating Christmas with the Queen this year.

Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, have been under pressure since their 2018 wedding.

Meghan admitted that being a new mother while being in the spotlight was a "struggle".

The duchess, who is the charity's royal patron, was greeted by children from Poringland Primary School as she arrived at the site and she spoke to them individually. But, perhaps no post was as special as the one Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle posted on Instagram.

It may be a while before royal fans are treated to more photos of Archie and his dad's side of the family, as Buckingham Palace just announced the duke and duchess plan to spend Christmas with Doria Ragland in LA.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor helped celebrate Prince Charles' 71st birthday on Thursday with a sweet message and a new picture posted to the Sussexes Instagram, taken from Archie's christening over the summer. It's unclear whether that'll be in California, where Doria lives, or whether Meghan's mum will come back to England for Christmas.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month".

The Cambridges have also stated that they won't spend every Christmas at Sandringham.

She further went on to say, "Christmas at Sandringham is a deeply embedded tradition in the royal family however and it's expected that everyone will be there, but the Queen does sometimes make allowances".

In 2016, Prince William and Kate Middleton opted to spend the holiday with Kate's family and were spotted attending a church service near Kate's childhood home in Bucklebury.
