Plane Slides Off Runway at O'Hare Airport in Snowy Conditions

A plane coming from North Carolina slid off a runway when it touched down in IL, officials say.

According to the Associated Press, the airplane was trying to land at O'Hare International Airport when it slid off the runway about 7:45 a.m. on November 11. The airline said no injuries were reported and all 38 passengers and three crew members were transported to the terminal at O'Hare airport safely.

Some 236 flights have reportedly been canceled at the airport already, and a further 93 have been canceled at nearby Midway airport.

The X-57 has been constructed with an Italian design from Tecnam P2006T which is a twin-engine propeller aeroplane. Space Agency, NASA has demonstrated its first all-electric experimental aircraft, the X-57 Maxwell.

An Arctic blast has hit many states from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes, and winter weather warnings or advisories have been issued from the Midwest to New England.

Snow played a factor in an airplane sliding off the runway in Chicago on Monday.

According to American Airlines, American Eagle flight 4125 slid off the runway due to icy conditions.
