Joaquin Phoenixs Joker becomes most profitable comic book-based movie in history

Arthur Fleck putting on his clown makeup

This is just one of many records Joker has passed, including being the top-grossing R-rated movie, breaking the October opening weekend box office record and the second weekend October box office record. Though we're not really counting the film's marketing costs in the budget, the production budget and the film's current box office haul make the movie one of Warner Brother's most profitable projects to date.

Instead, he took the money and made Joker, which has now gone on to become the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, overtaking Deadpool in the process.

Given the huge success of the film - which follows failed comedian Arthur Fleck as he begins a slow descent into madness, transforming into the Joker - Phoenix admitted he had discussed potential sequels with director Phillips before "Joker" had even been released.

Renowned Napoleon expert confesses to chopping up lover in Russian Federation
Prof Sokolov reportedly told police that he killed his lover during an argument and then sawed off her head, arms and legs. Sokolov was a senior member of the Russian Military-Historical Society headed by Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky.

Long story short, the Joker movie's been doing extremely well, so well in fact that it was announced by Forbes to be the most profitable comic book ever made. That's over 15 times the amount made back on the budget. There were concerns that the movie would encourage violence among individuals with the same temperament and personality as Phoenix's character, Arthur Fleck - so much so that the Federal Bureau of Investigation actually checked Joker posts on social media and the New York Police Department patrolled screenings during the film's premiere.

Put on a happy face, because Joaquin Phoenix's Joker is the most profitable comic book movie of all time. Unlike those films though, Joker will earn its $1 billion gross without China or a 3D version to boost sales.

Once more, this is if you search at Joker's comparatively modest spending plan.
