The Bulldogs, now ranked No. 6 in the CFP, will play a home game against the Buckeyes on September 14, 2030, and travel to Ohio State, now No. 1 in the CFP, on August 30, 2031.

The now sixth-ranked Bulldogs (No. 6 in the College Football Playoff ) will play a home game against the Buckeyes on September 14, 2030, and travel to No. 3 Ohio State (No. 1 CFP) on August 30, 2031. Ohio State is No. 1 in the newly-released College Football Playoff rankings, and Georgia is No. 6.

You might remember that the two teams originally agreed on a home-and-home series about a decade ago, which would be played in the coming years.

"This is going to be a terrific series for fans of both programs to look forward to down the road".

"We are committed to playing in as many big games as possible, keeping Georgia on the national stage", said UGA head football coach Kirby Smart.

The schools have met just one time - a 21-14 Georgia win in the Florida Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day in 1993. "It's these kind of games that make for memorable experiences for our student-athletes".

"Our fans have asked for SEC opponents, and we want to create these impactful contests", Ohio State deputy director of athletics Diana Sabau told The Columbus Dispatch.

Wow, what a time in college football.

Georgia's previously announced home-and-home series with Power 5 non-conference opponents include two with Clemson (2029 at Clemson and 2030 in Athens, and 2032 in Athens and 2033 at Clemson); Texas (2028 at Austin and 2029 in Athens); UCLA (2025 in Pasadena and 2026 in Athens); Florida State (2027 in Tallahassee and 2028 in Athens); and Oklahoma (2023 in Norman and 2031 in Athens). The teams also will play in the 2024 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta.
