Man Fatally Stabbed At Popeyes Over Chicken Sandwich-Related Dispute

The squabble spilled into the parking lot outside the packed restaurant where one of the men was stabbed.

The suspect is still at large.

It happened around 7 p.m. Monday at a Popeyes restaurant in the 6200 block of Livingston Road, as both men waited for one of the popular sandwiches. He died less than an hour later at a hospital.

Donelan added that the incident was "extremely difficult" to put into words. A fight over cutting in line at a Popeyes location in the Prince George's County suburbs of Washington D.C. ended with a person being stabbed and dying of their injuries, according to local TV station Fox 5 DC.

She said investigators have determined that the fight was related to the return of the chicken sandwich at the Popeyes restaurant. Police said the deceased was in line for the chicken sandwich.

U.S. to officially exit Paris climate agreement
Pompeo in his statement pointed to a 13% U.S. reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from 2005 to 2017 even as the economy grew. But even outside the agreement , the U.S. will continue to take part in the climate talks .

"For you to get that angry over anything, for that type of anger to develop into this type of violence, is a very sad and tragic day", Donelan said.

Popeyes announced that it would be bringing its coveted chicken sandwich back to restaurants on Sunday after it caused a social media stir over the summer with some stores selling out fast and long lines forming at others.

"We do not yet know whether this was the result of a dispute over one of our products or something unrelated, but there is no reason for someone to lose their life on a Monday night in a parking lot", Popeyes said in a statement to NBC. "That male. knows what he did here tonight and he needs to do the right thing and he needs to step up".

ABC News has reached out to Popeyes for comment.
