Honda unveils upgraded CBR1000RR-R Fireblade ahead of EICMA debut

Honda pull the wraps off 214bhp 2020 Fireblade RR and SP

Honda has unveiled the 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade at EICMA 2019. The new Honda CBR1000RR-R gets an extra R in its name, and gets a new in-line, four-cylinder engine heavily inspired by Honda's RC213V MotoGP machine and its street-legal RC213V-S counterpart.

The motorcycle borrows styling from the Honda's RC213V-S and sports a design language that is more aggressive than the outgoing model.

Underneath its new skin, the CBR1000RR-R gets a new twin-spar aluminium frame for increased rigidity. Aerodynamic sensibility pervades the new Fireblade with the rider position designed for pure racetrack work, aided by winglets on the sides of the fairing for downforce at speed.

Trump in Kentucky to rally support ahead of close governor's race
Bevin promotes his conservative credentials on abortion and gun rights and condemning efforts to impeach President Trump. He's tried shifting voters' attention to national issues by condemning the impeachment inquiry of Trump.

The 2020 Fireblade features new LED headlights with a ram-air duct in the centre.

Honda is also offering a higher-spec CBR1000RR-R SP.

In line with Honda's mass centralisation philosophy, both the CRB1000RR-R Fireblade and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP are equipped with a lightweight titanium Akrapovic exhaust end can. It gets second-generation semi-active Ohlins EC 43 mm NPX front forks, an Öhlins TTX36 Smart-EC rear shock, Brembo Stylema four-piston radial front calipers, and the Brembo monoblock rear caliper which is also derived from the RC213V. Both the front and rear suspension can be set independently from the default settings and three individual modes can be set and stored allowing the rider to configure multiple settings for a track, and switch instantly while riding.
