The shooting came just hours before a service was to be held for a church minister who was shot in the neck and killed last week. Garcia was shot dead on October 1. "Today was supposed to serve as a celebration of the life of Minister Luis Garcia". He was 60 years old. Brandon Castiglione, 24, was arrested and charged with second degree murder in Garcia's death, but waived an arraignment and is now being held without bail according to state prosecutors.

Churchgoer Janail Archer said his father, Othniel Archer, 59, a deacon there during the shooting, told him that among two shot, was the church leader, Bishop Stanley Choate and a woman.
