USA says Tehran’s ‘failure’ to address IAEA concerns unacceptable

The US could ease sanctions on Iran to ensure a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani

Mike Pompeo's warning came a day after the head of the IAEA urged Iran to respond to its concerns.

"We will continue to put pressure on Iran and as [US] President [Donald Trump] said there will be no waivers of any kind for Iran's oil", US Treasury Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Sigal Mandelker told reporters on Sunday.

"The world won't fall for it".

Rouhani has said Iran, which denies seeking nuclear weapons, would not talk to the United States until Washington lifted the sanctions it has reimposed on Tehran after pulling out of the nuclear deal.

It was the first time that Netanyahu had identified the site, which he said, was discovered in a trove of Iranian documents Israel previously obtained and released publicly previous year.

Iran has given another two months to the European signatories to take meaningful action to save the JCPOA as a France-led diplomatic process is underway between the two sides.

Forty-eight USA states announce extensive antitrust probe of internet search giant Google
The probe will look into the Silicon Valley-based giant's dominance in online searches and advertising, attorneys said. He noted that many Alaskan businesses rely on the internet to reach customers across the country.

Meanwhile, he stressed that the nuclear activities of Iran would remain peaceful and will be supervised by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

"Iran's failure to resolve the Agency's concerns on this matter is completely unacceptable and should be of deep concern to all who support the IAEA and its safeguards verification regime".

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that with the recent removal of limitations on Iran's nuclear program, "we will witness research and development on different kinds of centrifuges, including new ones and also whatever is needed to enrich uranium in an accelerated way".

In the latest move, the IAEA confirmed that Iran was installing centrifuges at its Natanz facility that were more advanced than those allowed under the nuclear deal. Washington also has been pressuring other countries to follow suit. They make an announcement; the next thing you know, they're spinning centrifuges at higher and higher enrichment rates.

But French President Emmanuel Macron has sought to salvage the 2015 nuclear deal by creating a $15 billion line of credit for Iran in order to entice officials in Tehran to continue honoring Iran's obligations under the accord.

"Sure, anything's possible. They would like to be able to solve their problem", Trump said, adding that "we could solve it (the problem) in 24 hours".
