New Line Doing a Space Invaders Movie With Mortal Kombat’s Greg Russo

Hard-R Mortal Kombat Movie

However, screenwriter Greg Russo has now confirmed that this is not going to be the case and the film will become as bloody and violent as the famous game franchise. You can't do Mortal Kombat without the frosty ninja, and he'll probably be joined by his old frenemy, Scorpion.

In a tweet posted today, Russo, who is also penning the Resident Evil reboot, said online, "Since it's already been stated by other members of the team, I'm gonna put this one to bed". I don't necessarily believe the movie needs to be as gory as the recent games, but just some acknowledge of the trademark "fatalities" would go a long way in paying reverence to the source material. This film will follow the plot as all basic MK films and Games. It had more realistic action, gore, and fatalities. The only caveat is that Russo can't confirm which fatalities will make it to the silver screen. The first Mortal Kombat film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson came out in 1995 to poor reviews, but 1997s's Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was met with straight-up ridicule.

US VP Pence visits overcrowded migrant camp, deplores 'crisis'
He left before commenting on the conditions at that second center. "My family came as refugees because they are Jews". He said they were given three hot meals a day from local restaurants, as well as juice and crackers.

The first official casting was announced on Tuesday when Joe Taslim was revealed to be playing Sub-Zero. The film may begin production later this year, and it will hit theaters on March 5, 2021. Joe is most known for its wonderful fighting skills in movies like The Raid: Redemption and Netflix hit The night come for us (totally recommended the two if you like gore fighting scenes).
