Apple iPhone killer to come with breakthrough technology

Apple could give up on Face ID at some point in the near future

Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested to Chinese website MyDrivers yesterday that the company would release at least one new iPhone in 2020 with a smaller front camera lens and "an improved" screen-to-bezel ratio, suggesting Apple was planning to trim down the notch for future iPhones, starting with the batch set for release next year. The latest hint this may happen comes from an industry report on revenue performance for manufacturers making the modules that enable 3D Touch, stating that although "Apple may remove 3D touch sensors from all 2019 iPhone devices", sales for these companies may still grow.

The three 2021 iPhones will feature notch-less iPhones with full-screen fingerprint authentication. Apple is reportedly said to use its own fingerprint technology rather than using a third-party provider.

Instead, the analysts predict the first notch-free iPhone will come in 2020, with the iPhone 12 series - but not all of them.

1 in 3 Binged on Entire 'Stranger Things' Season 3
According to Netflix , 40.7 million "household accounts" worldwide watched Stranger Things Season 3 after its first four days. As we said, it's pretty obvious all these things are on the table considering how the season ended.

Such advancements would put the iPhone on a more level playing field with Android rivals like Samsung and OnePlus that have already been minimising the notch. While reducing the notch-size appears to be a short-term goal, in the long run, Apple will quite likely have a completely notch-free screen. A fourth model has also been talked about, which would ditch Face ID, and would head to China, and Kuo could refer to this particular model. Apple's notch is big compared to rivals because of the True Depth camera system for Face ID, among other things. The iPhone 11 phones coming in mid-September are all expected to feature the same display design as the iPhone XS and XR phones, notch included. Samsung, on the other hand, has used circular and pill-shaped front camera cutouts to avoid the notch.

Now the recent reports back such speculations. Keeping the notch in place for one more generation indicates that Face ID isn't going away.

However an advert released earlier this week, Apple claims that their Face ID is "safer and easier" than Touch ID.
