Selena Gomez: social media is bad for young people

Josh Gad Gets 'Angry'

In September, she posted: "Update: taking a social media break".

Speaking after her politically-charged zombie flick, Jim Jarmusch's The Dead Don't Die, opened the Cannes film festival, Gomez said the platforms that helped make her famous were destructive in the wrong hands.

"It's just - I don't want to say 'selfish, ' because that sounds rude, but I think it's unsafe, for sure", she said. "But I would say for my generation specifically", Gomez said, "social media has really been awful for my generation".

"I understand that it's fantastic to use your platform", she continued, "but it does scare me to see how exposed these young girls and young boys are". I think it's risky for sure. I noticed with me, I got kind of depressed looking at these people who look lovely and unbelievable, and it would just get me down a lot.

"It's selfish - I don't wanna say selfish, that's rude - but it's unsafe for sure".

She said: "I had, you know, really racist behaviour when I was in high school in 10th grade". For me, I like to be intentional with it. "I obviously wanted to create something that matches my lifestyle and that shows the real me - I've said it before, I need something that's comfortable and flattering, pieces that I can just put on and give the impression it took me hours to plan". They are devastated, dealing with bullying and not being able to have their own voice. It can be great in moments. Selena suggests putting healthy time limits on social media use.

MPs To Vote On Theresa May's Brexit Vote AGAIN Next Month
She will confirm the timetable when she meets leaders of the 1922 Committee of Tory backbenchers, who have demanded that she set a date for her departure.

In late 2018, Gomez revealed to Vogue Magazine that part of her therapy involved stepping away from her popular social platforms. "She's a remarkable person".

"Please stop reading into things so much and making something out of nothing".

The 26-year-old "I Can't Get Enough" singer shared the line with fans on Wednesday (May 15). I was called Brownie, Curry, go back on the elephant you came on, and that really affected me when I was a kid and affected my self-esteem. And tbh, we couldn't agree more. Makeup-wise, Selena looked glam with a subtle smokey eye and rosy lips - a daytime approach from her beauty look from the day before. Here, a look at what everyone wore to the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Many of Hina Khan's fans took to their social media pages to compliment and congratulate the actress.
