UEFA To Seek Champions League Ban For Manchester City

These Stats Show Agony Of Liverpool’s Premier League Title Near-Miss

UEFA rules limit cash injections from wealthy owners, and commercial deals such as shirt sponsorship that are suspected of being inflated are assessed for the fair market rate.

Premier League champions Manchester City could be be excluded from the Champions League for a season if they are found to have broken financial rules in an investigation conducted by UEFA.

City have, however, expressed concern about reports that investigators will push for a Champions League ban before any official statement has been made by the European governing body.

According to the New York Times, investigators for the European governing body have chose to push for at least a one-season ban from the competition, after a meeting at its Swiss headquarters two weeks ago.

"Manchester City FC is fully cooperating in good faith with the CFCB IC's ongoing investigation".

In its statement, City said "the accusation of financial irregularities (is) entirely false, and comprehensive proof of this fact has been provided".

North Korea demands return of US-seized cargo ship
The Wise Honest was carrying about 25,000 tons of North Korean coal in March 2018, after loading up at Nampo Port in North Korea . It would be the "biggest miscalculation" if the United States believes it can control the North with force, the statement added.

The altered version of the song, that is filmed on board a plane, presumably transporting City players and staff from Brighton after their Premier League title triumph on Sunday, mocks Liverpool as "victims of it all" and that they're "battered on the streets".

UEFA punished City for FFP breaches in 2014 but opened a new investigation earlier this year following fresh allegations.

The 20-year old faced the English side in the group stage of the Champions League and is apparently a Pep Guardiola desire. "This can lead to the heaviest punishment: exclusion from the UEFA competitions".

If the ban is put forth however, it likely won't be for next season, as the appeal process and other legal proceedings wouldn't be completed on time to instill the ban for 2019-20.

FIFA, the Premier League and the Football Association (FA) are also undertaking investigations into City's operations in relation to various aspects of the Football Leaks allegations.
