Felicity Huffman Formally Pleads Guilty To College Entrance Exam Fraud

Felicity Huffman Expected To Plead Guilty Today In College Admission Scandal

Wiping away tears in court, Felicity Huffman insisted that neither her daughter nor the neuropsychologist who got Sophia Grace Macy extra time on the SAT played any part in having her daughter's exam answers doctored.

The girl scored 400 points higher than when she took the preliminary SAT a year earlier, prosecutors said. Federal prosecutors are aiming for a sentence between four and ten months in federal prison on the guilty plea. Because Huffman agreed to plead guilty, prosecutors have promised to recommend a sentence at the low end of that range, but the judge will make the decision on September 14. which could include not sending the star to jail at all.

The judge will wait to sentence Huffman until she gets a PSR (pre-sentence report).

In April, Huffman issued a statement apologizing for her actions.

"I had no knowledge of Mr. Singer paying (others)", Huffman said Monday before crying.

Because Sloane paid far more than Huffman to participate in Singer's scheme, prosecutors have recommended he spend a year in prison and pay a $75,000 fine.

She is married to William H. Macy, 69, star of the television show "Shameless" and numerous Hollywood films including Fargo.

Amazon to employees: We'll pay you to quit and haul packages
Amazon announced a new initiative for employees that would allow them to start their own package delivery companies. Still, Schlactus also said there's never been a better time to be a delivery driver or operate a delivery business.

"Everything else (the prosecutor) said I did, I did", she said.

Seventeen other parents, including Loughlin, have made a decision to fight the charges and formally submitted not guilty pleas.

The following day, when a counselor at her daughter's school told Huffman she would have to take the test at her own school, the actress emailed Singer again: "Ruh Ro!" According to the plea documents obtained by PEOPLE, Huffman reserved the right to argue that her offense level should be a 7, which would result in 0-6 months in prison.

The charity was associated with Rick Singer, who has confessed to helping wealthy parents cheat on standardized tests for their children.

Huffman is one of 13 parents who say they will plead guilty to the scandal which has rocked the US. Singer also bribed college coaches to falsely designate students as recruited athletes, smoothing their path to admission, a criminal complaint says.

"Full House" actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have pleaded not guilty to paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters into USC as crew recruits even though neither of them is a rower. "And with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions", the actress said in a statement last month.
