Dead Cells Ready To Take One New Platform

Dead Cells is coming to Android after all

Check out the Dead Cells mobile trailer below! Developer Motion Twin has announced that it's partnering up with indie publisher Playdigious to bring Dead Cells to iOS devices this summer, with an Android version to follow later on. While it's uncertain if the listing was made in error or not, what's sure now is that the game is coming to the platform soon.

Control-wise, the game will have a virtual floating pad for movement alongside customizable controls to move and resize other buttons around the screen. In addition, it'll have MFi external controller support, as well as an auto-hit mode and support for 11 languages. This will allow players to see everything that's happening on the display, something very important to a game that features "permadeath" - those who die will have to start again.

Dead Cells is an award-winning roguelike metroidvania action platformer. Those who fail will need to learn to get better in order to succeed.

Dead Cells first came to Steam early access in May 2017 and then later released for consoles in August 2018. There will be no freemium monetization, but instead, a premium one-time purchase for the full Dead Cells experience for $9.99, with no ads or free-to-play mechanics. The studio worked on the recent edition of Weather Factory's Cultist Simulator, and it was announced last week that they are porting Lizardcube's stunning Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap to iOS and Android later this month.
