Pelosi Waves Off Left Flank of Democratic Party, Including AOC

Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) firmly rejected allegations of anti-Semitism leveled at a member of her party, insisting in an interview that there is "no taint" of anti-Semitism within the Democratic party.

During an appearance on 60 Minutes Sunday evening, Pelosi told CBS's Leslie Stahl that the party has not succumbed to socialism despite the fact that all of its top 2020 presidential contenders have endorsed the elimination of the private health-insurance market.

"You have these wings - AOC, and her group on one side", Stahl continued.

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, David Lidington, hosted the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, at Lancaster House on 15 April 2019. Speaking at the London School of Economics ahead of her visit to Dublin, Ms Pelosi jokingly revealed that Mr Bercow taught her how to quiet the house during the more caucus moments.

"Unless there's something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don't think we should go down that path, because it divides the country".

"I feel like it's a little risky to put the entire grounds of impeachment ... to put all yours eggs in that basket", she said, noting that emoluments "includes any kind of financial misconduct".

Pink Moon: When And Where To Watch April Full Moon
Easter is traditionally held on the first Sunday following the first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox. Wondering how full moons get these interesting nicknames? "Sometimes we can only see a thin crescent".

"If people have that view, that's their view", she said. "That is not the view of the Democratic Party".

But Pelosi, 78, warned Democrats about tacking too far to the left, saying "our message, our progressive message, is down the middle".

Trump also bashed Pelosi for defending Rep. Ilhan Omar who has been making headlines over her controversial remarks about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in NY.

When Stahl pushed her, asking about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and the other prominent freshmen members, Pelosi was reductive. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib.

"But those are districts that are solidly Democratic".

"Before Nancy, who has lost all control of Congress and is getting nothing done, decides to defend her leader, Rep. Omar, she should look at the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel and ungrateful U.S. HATE statements Omar has made", Trump wrote. "This glass of water would win with a D next to its name in those districts".
