The Samsung Galaxy A80 Has a Cool Spinning Selfie Digicam

Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy A80

That also means there's no front camera at play, but as a solution for selfie takers, it has a pop-up camera mechanism that flips around. The biggest highlight of the handset is its rotating camera, which not only eliminates notch, but also enables high-resolution rear camera usable for selfies too. Exact pricing and availability information will be announced at a later date. According to the company's official website, reservations for the Samsung Galaxy Fold will open tomorrow in lieu of its USA release this month. The Galaxy A80 also features key Galaxy experiences including Samsung Health, Samsung Pay and more.

Along with the Galaxy A80, Samsung has also launched the new Galaxy 70 handset.

In a recent development, Samsung India has hosted a microsite listing for the Galaxy A70 hinting that its India launch is imminent. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor which is an octa-core CPU. The Samsung Galaxy A80 will go on sale from May 29 in markets across Asia, China, Europe, Australia, Middle East, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Russian Federation.

Ru Bhikha, mobiles expert at uSwitch.com, said the unique design of the A80 and its camera could be the "antidote" to increasing apathy among smartphone users. The chipset is complemented by Mali-G71 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage that is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.

Galaxy A80's Dolby Atmos lets users get a 360-degree audience experience when using earphones or Bluetooth speakers. This is the Galaxy A70, and, while it doesn't do neat tricks like its A80 sibling, it's still worth considering. The speed of rotating and poping-out camera delay is quite negligible.

For photos and videos, the Galaxy A70 features a triple rear camera module compromising of a 32-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 lens, an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.2 lens. Both the A30 and A50 models should offer All Day lasting battery, Fast charging, multi-lens cameras, ultra wide lens, Infinity Display with Super AMOLED technology, and On-Screen fingerprint scanner for the first time on a "lower" budget smartphone device.

It has a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front camera. The smartphone will be available in Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black color options.
