Apple unveils new streaming service Apple TV+, led by Spielberg's Amazing Stories

Today is the day that Apple finally announces the video streaming service that we have been expecting for so, so long now. The launch comes as Apple seeks to shore up growth, with the company in January posting its first decline in revenue and profit for a holiday quarter in more than 10 years. It's also expected to launch a video service that could compete with Netflix, Amazon and cable TV itself. All of this video content makes Apple TV Plus sound an very bad lot like a streaming service, but it doesn't have a huge back catalog made by other studios, like Netflix does. Apple did not announce pricing for Apple TV Channels, either.

Apple TV Channels will be added to the Apple TV app in May, while it's set to appear on Macs in the fall.

In a press release, the company confirmed Apple News+ will initially be available in the United States and Canada, while roll outs to the United Kingdom and Australia will happen later this year.

The Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post has made it clearly that it will not be joining the service as the competition faces the Apple onslaught.

Other than just a new platform to play games on, what you'll get for your cash (we don't know how much just yet) is the ability to try any game, all-you-can-play, with no ads or ad tracking.

The video service is a long-awaited attempt from the iPhone maker, several years after Netflix turned "binge watching" into a worldwide phenomenon.

Despite introducing four all-new services, only Apple News+ is available beginning today, March 25.

Hsieh will next face former world No. 1 and 13th seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in the fourth round. The 18-year-old Andreescu also beat Kerber in the final of the BNP Paribas Open. "I know that record".

There's more than magazines here, too. Premium online publications like The Skimm or New York Magazine's Vulture are also available.

Apple News+ is launching in the U.S. for $9.99 per month and Canada for $12.99 per month. Subscribers will be able to enjoy both news and magazine content on every iOS and MacOS device. You can save your favorite magazines as well, so that you won't ever miss a new issue. Called Apple News+, it will offer fully browsable, digital versions of over 300 print magazines and newspapers like Wired, GQ, the Los Angeles Times, and the Wall Street Journal.

More than 100 curated new and exclusive games will be on Apple Arcade.

Apple Arcade will come to Canada in fall 2019. Going forward for users with up-to-date devices, the News widget will open into the Apple News app rather than loading web pages.

Yet while the payment card drew applause during Apple's presentation, some experts were underwhelmed.

Addressing concerns around data, Apple has partnered with Goldman Sachs and Mastercard for Apple Card and claims it will not have access to any data. "Many Canadians already engage with our content on Apple devices and we are looking forward to what this enhanced experience will bring". Furthermore, the app can demystify confusing charges using machine learning and geolocation, so your purchase at John's Deli should actually say John's Deli.

Apple Card cardholders will also receive a titanium credit card for purchases at merchants that don't accept Apple Pay via an iPhone or Apple Watch.
