Including 16 rice sacks.

Recently, a number of major companies have seriously reduced the amount of plastic goods that they produce in an attempt to make a positive change for the environment. Marine biologist Darrell Blatchley was called to recover the 4.7m Cuvier's beaked whale, which was trapped in the shores of the Mabini Compostela Valley.

Since then, plastic trash has been discovered increasingly in the stomachs of dead seabirds and whales.

The whale was transferred to the museum's facilities and a necropsy was performed in order to find a direct cause of death.

"It had been vomiting blood before it died", Darrell Blatchley, a marine biologist and the curator of a local natural history museum, said in a statement to Reuters.

"Following this incident, we urge the general public and all concerned government entities to support the Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan, a holistic program of the DA-BFAR, which would ensure that our seas and oceans are free of plastics and other harmful pollutants", it said.

Earlier the same year, another whale was found in southern Thailand struggling to swim and breathe.

Epic Games will give away free cross-platform Fortnite tools to developers
Epic Games Store titles, including exclusives, will soon begin appearing on the Humble Store , Epic Games announced Wednesday. The store reaches Fortnite's massive 200 million strong userbase and lets games-makers keep more of each sale.

Blatchley explained that cetaceans, which are aquatic mammals such as whales or dolphins, don't drink water from the ocean but rather get access to fresh water from the food they consume.

National Geographic reported that more than 30 whales with plastic debris in their bellies washed up on European beaches in 2016.

The whale's cause of death was 40kg of plastic bags.

"This can not continue. The Philippines needs to change from the children up or nothing will be left", Blatchley said.

Environmentalists have long targeted the Philippines, branding them amongst the worst ocean polluters principally as a result of the large scale use of single-use plastic products.

Abigail Aguilar, campaigner for Greenpeace Southeast Asia - Philippines, said today: "The frequency on which marine animals are dying due to plastic ingestion is alarming".
